Dedicated Gamer Finishes Every Fallout Game in Under Two Hours
Fallout games are notorious for being extremely long. Because of that, seeing a person speedrun through any of the titles is impressive. One gamer decided this wasn’t good enough, and went about finishing every single game in the series in under two hours.
This amazing feat was accomplished by a YouTuber who goes by the (hilarious) handle of tomatoanus, who finished every game in 1 hour and 37 minutes. He played each game consecutively without taking a break. According to the video description, tomatoanus was pleased with his overall run, though he felt the Fallout: New Vegas portion could have gone better. Even if he feels this run wasn’t one hundred percent perfect, it is still far beyond what most Fallout players are capable of achieving.
The user had to exploit a number of cheats and bugs in order to finish the games in record time. While some may see this as cheating, the speedrunner isn’t doing anything that isn’t already possible in the base games. In fact, most speedrunners achieve low completion times because they take advantage of in-game quirks. This user should be judged on the same basis as everyone else.
In other Fallout news, singer Dion DiMucci is currently taking Bethesda to court over their “repugnant” use of one of his songs in a Fallout 4 commercial. Though he made a general agreement with Universal for his songs to be used in ads, he claims that he still needed to be personally asked for approval. According to DiMucci, the commercial is filled with “morally indefensible images.” He also says if he had known what his song, The Wanderer, would be used for, that he wouldn’t have agreed to let Bethesda use it. He is seeking $1 million in damages for the case, along with legal costs. You can read more about that by following this link.
